Prayer is the heart of life at St Augustine’s Abbey, Chilworth. The public is welcome at every public celebration of Holy Mass and the Divine Office.
What time is Holy Mass?
Holy Mass is at 9am from Monday to Saturday and at 10am on Sunday.
What is the Divine Office?
The Divine Office is the Church’s daily prayer, prayed by the monks seven times through the day from Vigils to Compline.
May visitors join the monks?
Yes. Visitors may sit quietly in the Abbey Church, follow as much or as little as they wish, and pray with the community.
